Conventions for these Guidelines
The conventions define and explain individual terms, formatting and specific uses applied in the text of the directives.
- The monospaced font is used with:
- the indication of transcription examples,
- the specification of tags or code examples.
- The notation
U+NNNNrefers to a corresponding Unicode character. Furthermore, in the transcription examples for higher Unicode characters, the XML-derived notation form
- Unless otherwise stated, the original is to be understood as the digital facsimiles of a book.
